The  possibilities are endless......

Our region offers a wide range of activities, cultural events and attractions. Here are a few suggestions that we hope will delight you:

The 'Gard Provençal' is known for its beautiful medieval towns, its wine culture, Provencal markets, and above all for its breathtaking landscapes. The region offers a wealth of pastimes, such as classical, blues, as well as jazz open-air concerts. Cities like Uzès, Nîmes and Avignon have a good selection of larger and smaller art exhibitions as well as many Roman and medieval monuments.

If you are more sport oriented you can go swimming, canoeing, kayaking or white water rafting anytime in the canyons of the rivers Ardèche and Cèze. Of course you can also play golf, fishing or tennis. And the Mediterranean coast with its sandy beaches is only 80 km away. You can also go horseback riding or hiking, as well as cycling right on your "doorstep".
There are also numerous offers for caving for adults and children, for climbing and also for hang-gliding. As you can see, the possibilities are endless.

Motorbike holidays

Dr.Rau, the owner of the estate and the rental property, and his son are passionate motorcyclists themselves. The area of L'Ancien Monastère is one of the most beautiful motorcycling areas of Europe, pleasant from April to October: between the Mont Ventoux with its lavender fields and the plateaus of the southern Massif Central (south side of the Cévennenes) with its incredibly picturesque plateaus, the "Causse de Méjannes" and the Canyons of the Ardèche and the Tarn, are all routes to explore as day trips, but also as a starting point for a trip to the seaside or the beautiful ancient city of Uzès with its provincial market In Uzès one can lose oneself in narrow, medieval alleys. The Ancien Monastère and rental property can easily accommodate several motorbikes and bike-trailers and can provide sheltered parking free of charge.
