This former small monastery was lovingly restored to a high standard between 2012 and 2015, as well as tastefully and comfortably furnished with predominantly antique furniture.

 

Due to the fact that the property was built on the wooded northern slope of the Aigullion valley, the house has a "terraced character", being constructed on 2 levels with an additional first floor, and a rental area of approx. 320 m². The 2 levels are connected by an outdoor staircase that leads from the upper ground floor to the walled lower ground courtyard which in turn gives access to the vaulted lower ground level.

 

• The rental property can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people.

 

• The holiday home has 6 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus 2 separate toilets with sink and mirror cabinets. All bedrooms have night drapes. Both living and dining rooms also have curtains.

• Each unit has a small wall safe to store valuables in safety.

 

• The lower living area has been expertly equipped for those with reduced mobility with 2 mobile ramps, plus a bathroom exclusively for guests with reduced mobility. The shower is wheelchair accessible, with a hinged wall seat and divisible shower door. The toilet has a safety handle with attachable toilet seat. The tub also has safety handles and a seat. The mirror above the sink can be tilted forward and the faucet can be manipulated from "hot" to "off"  with a simple movement of the elbow . All doors in the lower living part are 84cm to 90 cm wide

 

• A washing machine, dryer and are available in a separate laundry room outside of the rental property.

 

• Sheets and all other bed linen, plus all towels, bath towels and pool towels are included in the rent.

 

• A free, unlimited WIFI Internet access is available. Each living unit has a TV with DVD player, plus a large selection of DVDs. Both living areas have a hi-fi system.

 

• The house is ideal for people who are sensitive to electrosmog. There are no large power lines nearby. Because the property is located in a sparsely populated rural area, light and noise pollution are virtually non-existent.

 

• The pool (6m x 12m) is cleaned by a brand new filtration system and heat pump with very gentle and almost non-existent chlorine content, so that holiday makers who react badly to chlorine can swim and dive without any problems.

• The pool, with its south-facing location, is completely private and undisturbed, surrounded by lawns, century-old olive trees and oleander bushes, plus a breathtaking view of the valley. Sun loungers with pillows are available.

• Parasols are located around the house and the pool.

• The pool also has an outdoor shower and dry sauna in a small wellness area right next to the pool. We offer deep tissue and energy massages for a reduced fee. Please, ask our caretaker for further info.

 

• The 50m ² walled courtyard, facing south, has a patio with ample seating and family barbecue, and a sheltered cellar vault, which also has seating.

 

• On the ground floor and lower ground level are two newly and fully equipped kitchens, with gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Both kitchens each have a Dolce Gusto capsule coffee maker, plus filter coffee maker and each an Italian coffee maker/percolator.

• The kitchens also each have a mixer set, a toaster, plus many other utensils.

• Each kitchen is equipped with a 12-piece crockery and cutlery set, plus wine, water and aperitif glasses.

• Each kitchen has an arsenal of pans, pots and frying pans, plus a set of knives for meat, fish, vegetables and poultry.

• Each kitchen has different sized strainers, salad bowls and bowls, and much more.

 

• Both living and dining rooms have a closed fireplace. Fire wood is included in the rental price, but we ask guests not to over-abuse. If more than 1 ster is burned in a week, our caretaker will be forced to charge a supplement.

 

• Both living units have in the living and dining room a pull-out table, where comfortably 8 guest can be seated. Both terraces, plus courtyard, also have seating for up to 14 guests. The balcony on the first floor has a small table, plus 2 chairs. In addition, there are different sizes of tables and chairs around the house and pool.

 

• The caretaker is available to holiday guests at all times.
