Painting & Drawing Holidays for Beginners

 

Maybe you've been dreaming about being able to capture and bring to life colours and themes to a canvas or paper for a long time, but you've never dared or never found the time to follow your passion? The Ancien Monastères with its unique location is the ideal place to develop your talents under professional supervision. The week-long holiday is tailor-made especially for beginners and designed so that you can unfold your artistic potential step by step.

Your tutot will be your faithful companion who will not only teach you painting and color theory, but will also share many tips and hints that she has acquired as a freelance artist over the years.

 

 

 What  we provide and how it  is structured :

 

• The weekly painting and drawing workshops consist of four 4-hour course days. Depending on the course content, this will be done in the morning or afternoon. Painting and drawing workshops are only held either in Spring or autumn. This is due to the summer months being simply too hot. Also, the light, particularly in autumn is conducive to a beautiful inter-play between shadow and light.

• In order to establish an optimal course leader and participant rapport, we do not take more than 6 participants per  workshop (of course non-participants can equally enjoy a relaxing holiday).

• All course and painting materials are included in the rental price.

 

The following materials are provided:

 

• One easel or if preferred large hardboard per person

• 3 differently sized canvases (participants can bring their own additional canvases)

• A ream of sketching paper per person

• HB pencils and carbon pencils

• A set of acrylic paint shared among the participants.

• A set of different sized paintbrushes shared among the participants.
